Ayehu Announces Latest IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month as Aart Hopman of Delek Europe

IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month Ayehu, leading developer of enterprise-class IT Process Automation solutions, has announced the most recent recipient of the Super Hero of the Month award as Delek Europe BV’s Aart Hopman. Aart is being recognized for his use of IT process automation to streamline manual processes and proactively improve the overall operational efficiency of his department.

In his role as IT Project Manager at Delek Europe BV, Aart is tasked with managing a great number of processes across the organization. Earlier this year, he identified a number of areas where time and resources were being wasted on manual tasks, and also determined that specific problems, like frequently running out of disk space, needed to be addressed. Upon deployment of the eyeShare software, Aart and his team began to see results almost immediately.

Since implementation, Aart and his team have been able to automate a number of critical systems processes including interface workflows, process workflows, disk space workflows, (network) status monitoring workflows and more. What’s more, disk usage is now monitored across the entire network. eyeShare checks running processes and restarts them if necessary as well as monitors critical processes. Additionally, Aart credits eyeShare with helping his department to stay on top of any and all systems issues. The result is faster reaction to critical problems and the ability to address non-critical problems before they even occur.

“eyeShare has been a tremendous time saver for us. We no longer waste valuable time on daily tasks that can be automated. It’s also allowed us to take a more proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they become a huge problem,” mentioned Hopman.

“With eyeShare, my team is alerted of issues – often before end users are even aware of the problem. In fact, many times users are actually alerted by us instead of vice versa. This allows us to stay on top of problems in a more timely fashion and also prevent future incidents from ever occurring.”

The IT process automation Super Hero of the Month program was designed to recognize one stand-out member of the IT industry who is doing their part to lead their organization toward the IT of tomorrow and pioneering the process of automation.

Ayehu Names Nir Oren of Super Derivatives as IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month

Nir Oren of Super Derivatives as IT Process Automation Super Hero of the MonthPalo Alto, December 02, 2012 – Ayehu, industry leader in the development of enterprise-class IT process automation solutions, has announced the most recent recipient of its Super Hero of the Month award as Nir Oren of Super Derivatives. Nir is being recognized for using IT process automation to improve the operational efficiency of his organization.

Nir Oren is the Head of Operations at Super Derivatives. The company implemented eyeShare when it was discovered that a great deal of time was being wasted by IT operations due to repetitive, manual tasks and the need for scripting. Management was also greatly concerned about the number of false alerts that were being generated from their monitoring system. While Nir wasn’t the actual person who implemented eyeShare for Super Derivatives, he has embraced it and really taken it to the next level by expanding to automate even more workflows and processes.

The first automated workflows were restarting servers and services and checking installed programs. Since that time, the company has expanded to also automate at least half a dozen other processes, including checking FTP files and copying files to multiple systems. Today Nir uses eyeShare as a standard tool to replace old scripts that were used in the past. He also uses it to help filter false alerts from their monitoring system and send notifications of the exact error to the right people. This has dramatically improved their efficiency and accuracy, which equates to improved service levels all around.

“We rely on eyeShare every single day, both to keep our workflows and operational processes flowing more smoothly and to improve our ability to receive and respond to alerts in a timely and accurate manner,” says Nir. “I can confidently say that this tool has saved us a tremendous amount of time and provided peace of mind, which has greatly improved the performance of our IT operations and the company as a whole. The best part is how incredibly easy it is to use. It has changed our business for the better.”

The Super Hero of the Month program was designed to recognize one stand-out member of the IT industry who is doing their part to lead their organization toward the IT of tomorrow and pioneering the process of automation.

IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month

LogoEn4Ayehu Names Eran Gershoni of Harel Insurance as IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month

Palo Alto, November 1, 2012 – Ayehu, developer of innovative enterprise-class IT process automation solution, has announced the recipient of its Super Hero of the Month award as Eran Gershoni. Gershoni is being recognized for the proactive approach he has taken in using IT automation to streamline the operations of the team he manages.

Eran Gershoni is a Tivoli Specialist on the Network Management Team of Harel Insurance. The company implemented the eyeShare product in January 2012 in an attempt to automate many of their time-consuming daily activities. Prior to switching, Gershoni’s team had been manually performing a number of tasks such as servers and services restarts, report production and user management. They also relied exclusively on VB scripts and used their monitoring systems to send alerts, which were sometimes false. Needless to say, these alerts didn’t always help the team to understand the root cause of the problem since no troubleshooting was done in real time prior to sending the alert.

The first process Gershoni decided to automate was the nightly servers and services restarts. Automating these processes saved them a lot of manpower resources. eyeShare also replaced many of their old scripts that had been written ages ago, and were subsequently difficult to manage. eyeShare made it very easy for any team member to manage and control their entire automation procedures. Now that the system has been fully implemented, they also use eyeShare to produce online reports that are essential to some of the business processes in the company.

“eyeShare saved me a lot of time, especially since I don’t have to write scripts any more. Everything I want is already built in…”

“eyeShare saved me a lot of time, especially since I don’t have to write scripts any more. Everything I want is already built in,” comments Gershoni. “I also appreciate the fact that we can seamlessly use eyeShare with our existing applications and web services, which makes integration with other systems a lot easier. It provides us with a standardized way for IT automation. I can say with certainty that eyeShare is simple and easy to implement and use, and we’re already seeing significant benefits since its deployment.”

IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month

Ayehu Names Alon Senderovitz of Strauss Group as IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month.

IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month

Palo Alto, September 27, 2012 – Ayehu, industry leader and creator of eyeShare IT process automation software has announced its nomination of Alon Senderovitz as the Super Hero of the Month for IT Process Automation. Senderovitz is being rewarded for his exceptional team management ability and his proactive approach to automating the many daily tasks of his team, thereby improving productivity for his organization as a whole.

Alon Senderovitz is the SAP professional services team manager of Strauss Group, who implemented eyeShare to automate their IT operations approximately 2 years ago. Prior to switching to eyeShare, Senderovitz’s team had to rely on time consuming manual VB scripts. Additionally, managing daily SAP tasks on multiple systems consumed a lot of time on a daily basis. Finally, the monitoring systems they used previously sometimes triggered false alarms and didn’t always identify the cause of the problem. The result was a significant and ongoing waste of time and resources.

Senderovitz recognized the need to automate the repetitive daily tasks on a centralized system and reduce or eliminate false alerts. He began working with Ayehu to develop a solution that would meet these needs, and shortly thereafter implemented eyeShare. Almost immediately he saw positive results. Not only did the software greatly improve productivity by automating workflows, but the alert notifications and escalations process all but removed the possibility of costly and time consuming false alerts.

As part of day to day operations, eyeShare checks for database replication and helps validate consistent data replication to the DR site. Additionally, it helps Strauss to validate that all of their systems are available following necessary weekend back-ups. When a problem is identified, it can be addressed and resolved quickly. In fact, Strauss credits eyeShare with a 90% reduction in their mean time to recovery.

“The eyeShare product specifically addressed our pain points, which made it feel completely customized. Daily SAP BASIS tasks are now performed automatically and are easily tracked on status reports” comments Senderovitz. “It also helps us filter false alerts from our monitor systems. When an alert is triggered, eyeShare checks for the root cause and sends notifications with the exact error. Moreover, eyeShare has become a standard tool replacing old scripts we used in the past, and is easy to use for every team member. We really couldn’t ask for a better product!”

The Super Hero of the Month program is dedicated to recognizing one member of the IT industry who is doing their part to lead their organization to the IT of tomorrow and pioneering the process of automation.

5 Ways to level up your service desk using it process automation

Ayehu named Guy Serfaty of Clal Insurance as IT Process Automation Super Hero of the month

Palo Alto, August 9th – Ayehu, the creators of eyeShare IT process automation software announced today the nomination of Guy Serfaty as the Super Hero of  IT process automation of the month. Serfaty was rewarded for his exceptional accomplishments as a manager who understands the importance of an efficient IT operation and the ability of leveraging service delivery of the organization.

Guy Serfaty is the system integration and monitoring expert of Clal insurance group. Clal insurance has implemented eyeShare in early 2010.  Before the implementation, Serfaty’s team had to develop a code or script for each monitoring, then test it and deploy it. The IT team had to write scripts and codes not only for monitoring their mission critical business applications but also for maintenance tasks. Mostly it took several days. Moreover only monitoring of either technical objects or just a business flow could be handled at once. As an outcome the business side never used the IT team’s abilities as a critical component.

As a first step Ayehu and Clal agreed to do a POC, which ended up with eyeShare scoring a very high grade. Clal has implemented eyeShare, and they quickly saw how their service delivery level could be powered. The IT team managed to do monitoring, maintenance, and give action solutions at the same time, and later they could backup business flows as well. Currently Clal has automated with eyeShare approximately 400 automated workflows including monitoring workflows for alert notifications and escalations, repair failures, and workflows for IT maintenance tasks in order to keep the system stable. The system also handles business workflows, enabling the team to give solutions to the business side too.

“eyeShare dramatically cuts of user errors. After 3 weeks, the number of user errors dropped with 75 % reduction. Moreover we had managed to cut expenses for the business: in less than a week we have created a flow that by sending a simple text message to eyeShare, we saved a 40 minutes work of a field salesman. This results in a 4 man/month saving every month! eyeShare had such an easy to prove ROI, that when we wanted to invest in a second eyeShare server, the purchase was approved instantly.” Said Serfaty

The Super Hero program is a monthly program, dedicated to one of the IT staffs who leads it’s organization to the IT of tomorrow and pioneers automation.
