Ayehu Announces Release of eyeShare 4.8, Including Integration with McAfee ESM, Amazon Web Services, and JIRA Service Desk

Ayehu logoAyehu Software Technologies Ltd., industry leading developer of lightweight, enterprise-grade IT and security process automation solutions has officially announced the release of the latest version of eyeShare. The company’s flagship automation product is currently being used by major enterprises across the globe, enabling IT departments to maximize efficiency levels and identify and resolve critical incidents up to 90 percent faster.

The release of eyeShare 4.8 includes several new and improved features, including integration with Intel McAfee ESM. Using this integration, McAfee ESM users can automatically review and verify alerts, as well as execute appropriate remediating actions as needed. With this latest version of eyeShare, organizations working with Intel McAfee can respond faster to alerts raised by their SIEM, improve collaboration between departments and ensure that any information related to alerts is documented and available across all systems. In conjunction with this integration, Ayehu is officially certified as a McAfee Compatible solution, and is listed in the Intel SIA Partner Directory.

eyeShare 4.8 also includes integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which supports adding out-of-the-box activities when working on AWS instances, images, snapshots, and other resources. A recent survey of AWS users revealed that the biggest challenge with this environment was a lack of automation. With the new eyeShare version, organizations using AWS as their virtualization infrastructure can streamline the time IT spends in the AWS environment, thereby improving efficiency.

The third noteworthy feature of the newest version of eyeShare is the added integration with JIRA Service Desk. JIRA is very popular with IT organizations, particularly in terms of development, testing and managing tickets in the Help Desk area. With this integration, JIRA Service Desk users can now integrate these functions seamlessly with eyeShare, creating a closed-loop process.

“At Ayehu, we are always trying to make the lives of our customers as easy as possible,” comments Ayehu Co-Founder and CEO, Gabby Nizri. “This latest version of eyeShare has been designed to incorporate three of the most popular IT platforms, enhancing and extending their capabilities to make them even more effective. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive and we are extremely pleased to announce this latest update.”

The eyeShare 4.8 version is now available for new users and an update is expected to be rolled out to existing customers soon. For more information on the eyeShare product or to download your free 30 day trial and start using it today, please click here.

Ayehu Names Ben Scherer and Alex Yaney of LexisNexis as its IT Process Automation Super Hero

Ayehu Software, successful developer and marketer of innovative, enterprise-class IT process automation solutions has announced the most recent nominee of its Super Hero of the Month award. This month, the company has chosen two worthy recipients: Alex Yaney

Ben Scherer and Alex Yaney

Ben Scherer and Alex Yaney

and Ben Scherer of LexisNexis. The two colleagues were chosen for their forward-thinking use of IT process automation to improve operations for their teams.

In their critical roles as Sr. Solutions Architect (Alex) and Sr. Systems Engineer (Ben), the two men were running into similar issues using ServiceNow and Orion. Each of them found the process of incident management cumbersome and time consuming. They recognized that they needed an additional solution that would streamline the process for themselves and their teams, making operations much more efficient and reducing incident response time.

They chose Ayehu after researching and finding that the eyeShare product was recommended by SolarWinds. In October last year, the pair officially led the implementation of eyeShare, after testing the product for the previous six months with great results. They began by automating incident creation, including volume, CPU/RAM, and application specific needs.  Then, they moved on to automated volume and disk growth. The results of this, and the success in tying their existing systems together, were just what the duo were looking for.

“Having direct access to ServiceNow and Orion has made integration between the two systems possible within an hour or two,” commented Yaney. “Automating disk growth was the next big win. Even though this process is complicated, we were able to create a dynamic way to grow server drives while still communicating the details within our ITSM with updates and even feedback from a customer if more information is needed.”

“With the eyeShare product, communicating with ServiceNow has become very fluid, so creating tickets and tracking their status is very easy to accomplish in a very short amount of time.  Not only did this save us a large amount of development hours to integrate Solarwinds Orion with ServiceNow, but it will also reduce the support hours needed as these systems require future upgrades”

“The most exciting part is that we are only on the cusp of what we can potentially achieve using IT process automation The future is certainly looking bright!”

The Super Hero of the Month award is given as a way to recognize those in the IT industry that are successfully driving their businesses forward through enhanced automation technology. Anyone who uses the Ayehu eyeShare product is eligible to receive the award.

New Integration Capabilities Between Ayehu eyeShare and HP Service Manager

Author: Yaron Levy

HP Service Manager is a service desk product that enables IT professionals to work as a unified organization governed by a consistent set of processes that are put in place to help manage service delivery and support, both quickly and efficiently. It allows users to simplify and consolidate service management functions via a powerful, single point of contact for all core IT processes, including but not limited to incident management. Now you can enhance these already impressive features by integrating your HP Service Manager with Ayehu’s eyeShare product. Here’s how.

The seamless integration of eyeShare IT process automation with HP SM enables the user to create, update and monitor tickets right in HP Service Manager, without any installation or changes to the HP SM server configurations. eyeShare’s agent-less architecture allows IT professionals to automate alerts, manage ticket resolution, and handle ticket closure right within the HP SM dashboard.

How It Works

The plug and play Integration Packs for HP SM use the HP SM Web Service and eyeShare listener to achieve the industry’s only integration method requiring minimum settings to your HP SM system. The eyeShare Integration Pack uses the appropriate web services to enable and configure the target HP SM server, enabling the Integration Pack’s functionality. It’s zero touch configuration that’s simple to implement and a breeze to manage.

Why It’s Beneficial

Without the eyeShare interface, HP SM can be cumbersome, requiring manual data entry and long service desk procedures. By combining the two, you will be able to create a closed-loop, automated process that accelerates incident management and resolution, and executes tasks across systems and environments via standard secured protocols.

With eyeShare for HP SM you can send, retrieve, and query tickets, as well as create, delete, or update tickets. For instance, at the click of a button, you can:

  • Create a New Record – Generate a new ticket in HP SM.
  • Close a Record – Close the specified ticket in HP SM.
  • Update a Record – Update any allowed field provided in the HP SM ticket.
  • Query Records – Return a list of filtered tickets.

With the integration of eyeShare’s ITPA product with HP’s Service Management system, you’ll end up with a complete, comprehensive and highly efficient all-in-one solution for ticket management. Never worry about another request falling through the cracks or being mishandled again. Integrate your systems today.
