Ayehu Software Names Philip Herner from IBM as Latest IT Process Automation Super Hero

IBMAyehu, developer of enterprise-grade IT process automation and orchestration solutions for IT and security professionals, has announced the latest recipient of its IT Process Automation Super Hero Award. This month, Ayehu has chosen Philip Herner of IBM. Philip was selected in particular because of his use of IT process automation to create a more cost-effective, streamlined and efficient operation.

As one of IBM’s Project Managers for SO Delivery, Service Management, Philip and his team were tasked with finding a middleware solution that would easily and seamlessly interface with existing platforms, particularly ServiceNow and SolarWinds. They were also challenged with keeping costs down as much as possible. Finally, they needed a solution that was easy to implement, simple to use, and straightforward to maintain.

Initially, they chose an outsourced solution which quickly revealed itself to be inadequate. Not only was it expensive, but it required bringing in outside resources every time an update was needed, making it very cumbersome. Furthermore, the solution only provided basic capabilities. This lack of control, limited functionality, and higher cost made it obvious that other options needed to be explored. Enter eyeShare from Ayehu, which not only provided a low-cost solution, but also offered easy integration with existing systems, providing for a quick friction-free deployment.

One example of how IBM began leveraging eyeShare’s automation for their existing applications is the workflow they established to integrate eyeShare with SolarWinds, which monitors the data center’s servers.  Any alerts SolarWinds generates are quickly parsed and evaluated by eyeShare to identify incidents which could be deemed as serious or critical. In those instances, a ticket is automatically created in ServiceNow and assigned to a system administrator who then takes responsibility for remediating the incident.

“My team is actively managing a huge number of projects on any given day. We really don’t have the time or the resources to spend managing our middleware. Yet, at the same time, maintaining control in-house was important,” comments Philip. “Not only did eyeShare have out-of-the-box solutions and templates that matched our needs, but it was pretty much plug-and-play and has been a breeze to maintain. It’s made our jobs so much easier.”

Ayehu’s IT Process Automation Super Hero award is given in recognition of professionals that use automation to improve the way their organizations run. Anyone who uses the eyeShare product to improve operations in businesses of any size or industry is eligible to receive this coveted award.

Ayehu Software Names Ido Freedman of Amdocs as IT Process Automation Super Hero

Ido Freedman Amdocs Super HeroAyehu Software, industry-leading developer of a lightweight, enterprise-grade IT Process Automation solution is pleased to announce the latest recipient of its IT Process Automation Super Hero  Award. This month, Ayehu has selected Ido Freedman of Amdocs. Ido was chosen in particular because of how he has leveraged IT process automation to streamline operations for his team and his organization as a whole.

In his role as Technical and Business Operations Analyst in Amdocs’ network operation center (NOC), Ido is tasked with managing a great number of processes and services, each of which has its own procedure in place. For instance, the company’s infrastructure requires maintenance of files for incident escalations. When such tasks are performed manually, it can take an operator a significant amount of time to be able to implement the appropriate policies and procedures – time that could be much better spent focusing on more mission-critical projects.

Initially, Amdocs implemented the eyeShare product 5 years ago, so it was in place when Ido joined the team. 6 months ago, however, the NOC embarked on an entire system infrastructure overhaul. At that time, a number of additional tasks, processes and workflows were streamlined using IT process automation, including incident escalation, URL checks, server resets, service restarts, SSH commands and much more. They also added self-service options for escalation purposes.

“The eyeShare product provided a platform for automation which has dramatically reduced event handling time and improved the incident escalation notification process,” comments Ido. “For me personally, it has provided the opportunity to gain a much more in-depth understanding of system architecture as well as the ability to improve my competencies in things like SQL and power CLI. I couldn’t have accomplished these things without the help of automation.”

Ayehu’s IT Process Automation Super Hero award honors outstanding professionals who recognize the power of automation to improve the way their organizations run. Any individual or team that uses the eyeShare product within their business is eligible to receive the award.

Ayehu Software Names Dan Andrews of Wow! Cable as Latest Super Hero of the Month

WOW logo

Palo Alto – Ayehu Software, industry leading developer of enterprise-level IT Process Automation software solutions has announced its most recent Super Hero of the Month.

This month’s award recipient is Dan Andrews of Wow! Cable. Dan was specifically chosen for his use of IT process automation technology to drive IT and make his organization more competitive.

In his role as Director of Emerging Technologies & Support, Dan is charged with researching, evaluating and recommending new technology to support customer, infrastructure and architectural needs. When he first joined Wow!, the company was operating on basic, somewhat outdated functionality, such as homegrown ticketing. Part of his job was to identify new software products that could essentially bring the company up to speed and make it more advanced in order to meet competitive marketplace demands.

In his previous position, Dan was instrumental in bringing in the ServiceNow platform and integrating it with Ayehu eyeShare. Given his past experience with the eyeShare product, he did not hesitate to recommend the adoption of IT process automation in his new role. So far, the company has automated a number of processes, including Active Directory requests and distribution list additions. He is currently working on automating the monitoring of security logs, alert management, inclusion of IP addresses and other configuration information into tickets and much more.

“In my line of work, I’ve tested plenty of IT process automation products. For me, eyeShare was the one that stood out the most. Not only do I appreciate the out-of-the-box functionality and rich features, but I particularly value the relationship I’ve developed with the Ayehu team,” comments Andrews. “In such a fast-paced industry, I find it refreshing that they take the time to provide real support before and after the sale. It feels more like a partnership than a vendor-client relationship, something that’s rare in the IT world.”

The Super Hero of the Month award is given in recognition of those in the IT field who are using automation technology to enhance performance, both individually and at an organizational level. Any individual or team who uses the eyeShare product is eligible to receive this coveted award.

Yuval Molnar of Payoneer is Ayehu’s Most Recent IT Process Automation Super Hero Of The Month

Ayehu Software Names Most Recent Recipient of IT Process Automation Super Hero of the Month Award as Yuval Molnar of PayoneerAyehu Software Technologies Ltd., industry leading developer and marketer of enterprise-grade IT Process Automation solutions has just named the most recent recipient of its Super Hero of the Month Award.

This month, Ayehu has chosen Yuval Molnar and Production Team of Payoneer. Molner was specifically chosen for his use of IT Process Automation to streamline and improve efficiency for his team and his organization as a whole.

Molner serves as a Production Support Team Leader at Payoneer. In this role, he is tasked with managing a team of support professionals as they handle incoming requests and monitor/manage the process from initial contact through resolution. Up until recently, most, if not all of these tasks were being handled manually, a time-consuming process that was riddled with risk of user error and other compliance problems.

In late 2014, Payoneer’s new VP of IT Operations, Yaron Weiss, introduced the eyeShare product, which he already had experience using with his previous employer. The first process automated was system monitoring, the majority of which is now handled by the event-manager function.  They’ve also created workflows that allow certain non-R&D users to send inquires directly through the eyeShare system and receive immediate response with the requested data. This has vastly improved the department’s efficiency.

With eyeShare, Molner’s team can now keep track of their services by running multiple queries directly within the database, and can separate the results according to severity level. In addition, they now have the ability to grant users direct and controlled access to the database so they can extract any information needed without involving the production team in the process. The permission set-up allows Molner’s group to control exactly which user can request each report in order to obey compliance requirements.

“eyeShare has allowed us to reduce repetitive tasks by enabling internal users to access information on their own,” comments Molnar. “In addition to automating our monitoring process and enabling us to calibrate the actions taken for each event based on severity, the system also keeps us informed about crucial errors occurring in real-time with our services. Overall, eyeShare has dramatically improved the way we work.”

Ayehu’s coveted Super Hero of the Month award is designed to recognize professionals who are using IT Process Automation to improve the way their organizations run. Any individual or team who uses the eyeShare product in businesses of any size or industry may be eligible to receive this award.
